Bio
Okay, so this is me: My name is Melissa Wyatt. I've always wanted to be a young adult author and--well--ta da! Dream come true and all that. My second YA novel, FUNNY HOW THINGS CHANGE (FSG '09) is a Kirkus Best YA for 2009, a YALSA 2010 BBYA and Capitol Choices 2010 Noteworthy Book for Children and Teens. I have a fabulous fantasy life through writing, but my day-to-day life is pretty much exquisitely dull, and if that's what you enjoy reading about, welcome, my adventurous friend!

About the friends thing: If you want to friend me, I am honored. Have at it. Please don't be offended if I don't friend you back right away. I am lazy, disorganized and don't check this page very often. Still want to be my friend? Also, I don't post anything friends-locked, so what you see is what everyone gets.

If I have friended you and you can't figure out why, it's because I like reading your blog and don't want to have to keep hunting it down to read it. If this makes you uncomfortable, too bad! Ha ha! I mean, by all means let me know and I will remedy the situation. But I do not expect you to friend me back just because I like reading your blog. To each his own and all that.
